These terms apply when you use this website, book an appointment with us or buy from our optical shop, online or in the clinic. Please read them together with our privacy policy and cookie policy. By using the website or our services you agree to them.
Who we are
This website is run by V-Wealt Eye Care and Services Limited (trading as V-Wealt Eye Care and Services Ltd), a company registered in Nigeria. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean V-Wealt Eye Care and Services Ltd, and “you” means the person using the website, booking or buying (or the parent or guardian of a patient under 18).

Using this website
- The information on this website is general information about eye health and our services. It is not a diagnosis or medical advice for you. If you have sudden changes in your sight, eye pain, flashes or new floaters, call us or go to a hospital emergency department straight away.
- We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
- Please don’t misuse the website: don’t try to get into parts that aren’t meant for you, interfere with how it works, or use it for anything unlawful.
- The words, photos, logo and design on this website belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may view and print pages for your own use.
- If we link to other websites, we aren’t responsible for their content.
Appointments
- Requests and confirmation. Booking online sends us an appointment request. It is only confirmed when we confirm it by email or phone. If the time you asked for is no longer free, we will offer you another.
- Fees. The prices shown for our services are a guide. We will tell you the fee before your appointment starts, including anything extra your eyes need (for example further tests). Fees are paid at the clinic unless we agree otherwise.
- Changing or cancelling. You can cancel with the link in your confirmation email, or by calling or emailing us. Please let us know as early as you can, and at least 24 hours before your appointment, so we can offer the time to someone else.
- Missed appointments. If you miss appointments without telling us, we may ask you to pay in advance before we book you again.
- Arriving late. Please arrive a few minutes early. If you are late we will do our best to see you, but we may need to shorten your appointment or book you another time.
- If we need to change your appointment (for example if the optometrist is unwell), we will contact you as soon as possible and offer another time. You won’t be charged.
Eye tests and prescriptions
- Eye examinations are carried out by registered optometrists. They use their professional judgement about the tests you need and may refer you to a doctor or hospital if something needs further care.
- After your eye test you are entitled to a copy of your spectacle prescription. A prescription is for the named patient only and must not be used for anyone else.
- A prescription is valid for the period written on it. This is often up to two years for adults, and is usually shorter for children and for people whose eyes need closer monitoring.
- A spectacle prescription is not a contact lens prescription: contact lenses need a separate fitting and aftercare appointments.
- If you bring a prescription from somewhere else, we will make your glasses to it as written. We can’t be responsible for errors in a prescription we didn’t issue, but we will tell you if anything in it looks unusual.
Our online shop
Prices and availability
- Prices are in Nigerian naira (₦) and include any taxes that apply. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Products are subject to availability. Frames and lenses from our suppliers can sell out; if something you ordered isn’t available, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a full refund.
- If we make an obvious mistake in a price or description, we will contact you before we go ahead. You can then choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- Colours in photos may look slightly different on your screen.
Your order and payment
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm your order, which we do once your payment has been received (or, for pay at the store, when you pay).
- Bank transfer: transfer the order total to the account shown at checkout, using your order number as the reference, and upload your proof of payment (a receipt or screenshot) on the order page. We start preparing your order once the money has reached our account. If we don’t receive payment within 7 days we may cancel the order.
- Pay at the store: we hold your order for 7 days. Pay when you visit the clinic and collect. After that the order may be cancelled and the items put back on sale.
- Glasses and lenses made to your prescription are ordered or made for you after payment, using the prescription you give us or the one from your eye test with us. We will tell you roughly how long they will take and contact you when they are ready.
Collection and delivery
- You can collect your order free of charge from the clinic during opening hours. Please bring your order number. For glasses, we will check the fit with you when you collect.
- Where we offer delivery, the areas and price are shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates; we will keep you informed if there is a delay.
- Please check your order when you receive it and tell us about any damage or missing items as soon as possible.
Returns and refunds
We want you to be happy with what you buy. Your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 are not affected by anything in these terms.
- Frames, sunglasses and accessories bought without prescription lenses can be returned within 7 days of collection or delivery for an exchange or refund, if they are unused and in their original condition and packaging.
- Made-to-prescription lenses (and frames once prescription lenses have been fitted to them) are made specially for you, so we can’t take them back if you change your mind. They can be returned if they are faulty or were not made to your prescription.
- Contact lenses and eye-care solutions can only be returned unopened and in date, for hygiene reasons, unless they are faulty.
- Getting used to new glasses. New prescriptions, especially varifocals, can take up to two weeks to get used to. If you are still having trouble after that, come back within 30 days of collection and we will check your eyes and your glasses free of charge, and put right anything that isn’t correct.
- Faulty items. If something is faulty or not as described, tell us as soon as you notice. We will repair or replace it or give you a refund. We cover any delivery costs for faulty items.
How to ask for a return or refund: email contact@vwealteyecare.com or call +234 (0)806 566 1142 or +234 (0)913 068 6702 with your order number and what’s wrong, and bring or send the item back to the clinic. Refunds are made by bank transfer to the account you paid from (or in the way you paid in the clinic), usually within 14 days of us agreeing the refund.
Our responsibility to you
- We provide our services with reasonable care and skill, and the products we sell will be as described and fit for their purpose.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you booked or ordered, for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or for business losses (the website and shop are for personal use).
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
Your personal information
We handle your personal and health information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why, and our cookie policy explains the cookies this website uses. You can change your cookie settings at any time.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our care, a product or this website, please tell us first so we can put it right: email contact@vwealteyecare.com or call +234 (0)806 566 1142 or +234 (0)913 068 6702. We aim to reply within 14 days.
If we can’t resolve your complaint, you can contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (fccpc.gov.ng). Concerns about an optometrist’s professional conduct can be raised with the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria can deal with any dispute about them.
